Prevention of Sexual Harassment

Prevention of sexual harassment in working, learning and living areas is one of the main principles of Koç University.

Counseling Services prepared an online training (Sexual Harassment Awareness Training) in order to prevent and raise awareness on sexual harassment. Sexual Harassment Awareness Training was presented to students in 2016. The training consists of main concepts about sexual harassment, the precautions for preventing sexual harassment, information about the process upon a complaint/report and cases with observed ethical principles.

The training is mandatory for new coming students. All the students can also get access to the training via Blackboard.

In addition to Sexual Harassment Prevention Training, the counselors of Counseling Services provide information on the matters and mechanisms in the process of complaint and psychological support depending on the need for the students who have witnessed or were subjected to sexual harassment.

If you think that you are or any acquaintance is being subjected to sexual harassment or witness any incident that might involve sexual harassment, you can contact Counseling Services.
